JASIRI MIDWIFERY
PHILOSOPHY

We believe that people should birth, first and foremost, where they feel safe and cared for. We regard birth as a sacred and monumental event that typically requires little to no intervention. We provide families with evidence-based, culturally competent information so that they can make informed decisions for their health and wellbeing from a place of knowledge rather than fear or mis-education. We believe in and practice the midwifery model of care which centers the physical and emotional needs of the birthing person and allows for the normal physiological process of birth to unfold.

“I met Janell at Maternidad La Luz Birth Center in El Paso, Texas. From 27 weeks, she attended to my pregnancy. Every appointment and every exam she did with a lot of professionalism, patience and love. The truth is, I am very grateful to her for the treatment she gave me - she made me feel like her real sister. She hugged me and encouraged me so that I did not give up and in the end I obtained the greatest achievement of my life, my daughter .

From the first day she attended me at the birth center, I felt light and so comfortable and I wanted her to always take care of me, which she did through to the delivery. Labor was a very strong experience but with her help it was wonderful and I felt so good, Janell continued to care for me during my postpartum appointments and she always solved all my doubts, including answering my text messages and helping me.

It was a very nice experience to have met her at that time and I thank her with all my heart for her treatment and patience.  She is an excellent person, as a very capable professional and above all very human.”
